Iodine test and spend the money on 5% Lugol's. If you're low in trace minerals, you're likely low in iodine, so just start it. Start with 1 drop, and just as quickly as you can work up to 8 drops. Hold there a week, then continue to 16 drops. That's 100 mg
Iodine daily, Trapper's recommended minimum. Possibly you'll have detox along the way, but it's hard to say. Support with selenomethionione 200 mcg, magnesium 300-600 mg, Vitamin C separate from the Lugol's, and a B complex with active B12 and folate. Use salt and water generously.
Know that some people prefer using
Lugol's together with Vitamin C or orange juice, but try them separately at first to figure out what your body wants.
By the time you're steady on 100 mg Lugol's, you'll have a good idea what to do next.
