Re: doxycycline kills Wolbachia

Thanks for that info sadbuttrue. Would it be advisable to take Bactrim and Doxy simultaneously? The dogs and I are on a course of Bactrim and Albendazole. I'm trying to clear up the Lab's infected front foot, nothing has helped thus far. I checked it carefully the other night, comparing the size and color of her toe pads and the thickness of the webbing between the toes to those on the other foot. I think there is a worm nest in the outer part of the webbings, and in a few toe pads. I've been drenching that foot with topical Moxi (Cydectin) for a few weeks, with just a little improvement. I'm going to add Doxi powder to my topical rub ons for now on.
.
Her ears have been infected for many months. Even the Cydectin and Neem oil I used to clean out her ears didn't work to stop the worm invasion. I added Doxi to the Cydectin a few eves ago and the ears had 89% less smelly muck in them the next cleaning.

May I ask which worms have Wolbachia?
Thank you!
