Re: Do you think I have roundworm? Help!

Good advice you were given here. I'd personally bypass the medical doctor, and begin taking Albendazole, and your bf too, since you were both exposed in the same way. Online American Farm Suppliers have it, and you can start faster. If you read a sampling of posts here, you'll see why it will likely waste precious treatment time waiting for a MD's diagnosis. I'd start treating with Albendazole, the Antibiotic wouldn't hurt, would it? What Antibiotic did he prescribe? You can see the doctor too if you want. My dogs and my own stool are still loaded with roundworm eggs after treating for months. My nose and mouth have plenty too, so gross. Sure is not a quick cure!
Smart of you to get right on it! Am a little surprised the vet didn't prescribe meds for you and family, other pets, too. Vets know much more about parasites than doctors in USA.

Environment has to be kept extremely clean. Linens and dog's bedding wahed daily, hottest water possible, etc...plenty on that on these sites. Dog poop picked up immed. and treated as a bio-hazard. Wrap it up, because the eggs start traveling within a day. Today I threw bleach water on the areas where the dogs go potty, but don't know how much that will help.
