It's so weird though. I am so sure that I get at least 400mg of magnesium daily, but I also work out heavily. On those days, I also apply topical magnesium oil. I take bigger doses orally and that would put me at 800-1000mg total (only on heavy workout days). The complex I am using right now is from Innate (http://eu.iherb.com/pr/Innate-Response-Formulas-Magnesium-300-Powder-4-7-oz-132-g/64716). U can find the info in the link, it's a blend of citrate, malate and glyicate.
Before this brand, I used the it's NOW one (used glycinate, but didn't like that one, so mainly citrate). Got some laxative effects on higher doses.
Would a permanent Malate form be a good one? I can get one like this:

It's malate, so it might be less laxative and it has 500mg per serving. 100 doses per bottle, seems like a good deal right?? I don't know whether malate is a good source though, I read it was but could u confirm this for me?
