Re: progesterone and thyroid

It can especially (or just?) build up in fatty tissue. I used to put the progesterone cream on my belly. My belly is where my fat is (typical cortisol shape body). I learned that the progesterone is probably just being absorbed by the fat and hardly gets into the blood.

So now I put the progesterone cream on skinny parts of my body: inner arms and legs.

It's all these factors that make a proper and save administration of hormones so very hard. I would much prefer to get my own body to produce more progesterone. So far I haven't succeeded.

At the moment I'm combining progesterone cream with DIM . Progesterone is converted into other hormones but the last in the chain is always an estrogen. DIM helps the body metabolize this last chain so I don't get an accumulation of end-product-estrogen.

I restarted progesterone after Ginagirls post after I realized that all my symptoms could very well be progesterone/estrogen imbalance symptoms. I have been taking DIM for a long time for that, which helps enormously. But the fatigue still creeps up, pain, bloating, cranky mood, etc. I'm at that age that I could very well be menopausal. This means my progesterone production is getting lower. Unfortunately it was already low ....
