These are some hard choices we have to make when we change our lifestyle from the mainstream lifestyle. You will be on day twelve on December 30th. If you then eat all those heavy, sugary, high protein foods you may hurt your self. You will not die.
I understand the culture and the pier pressure. Plan to break your fast after seven days and slowly start eating five days before the party. Start with one orange then, two oranges, salads and so on. You do not want to eat a lot of food and junk right after your fast, but ease in to eating heavy foods. I would refeed for fifteen days with plant based raw foods and then fast again.
You can expect to lose 1 lb per Day. If you go for twelve to fifteen days you will definitely show the weight loss.
I personally don't worry about family and friends and what they think.
