Susie,

That is a GREAT question. The answer is Yes and No.

It all depends on avoiding the chemicals that take over our Iodine receptors in our cells: Bromide, Fluoride & Chlorine. You must eat ONLY bromide free breads, NO city tap water & soda pops loaded with fluoride, etc, etc. There is a long list of foods that contain these toins. I suggest getting a water distiller to purify your drinking water & for cooking.

Dr. Brownstein has said that IF you can avoid all the above toxins, then you can reduce Iodine dosage down to 6 to 12 mg a day for maintenance. I have done it so it does work.
