very interesting

So the insecticide in your shampoo or whatever to treat the lice triggered the problem. They have listed pesticides as a possible cause of morgellons. I'm wondering if you already had the morgellons since the black specs started coming out right away. Those black specs are composed of knots of filaments. I wonder if the shampoo just activated the problem which had been slowly accumulating.

Since morgellons is a co infection of lyme disease i would have thought it was passed with tics or insects or in ways lyme disease is passed although i have never read that. Dr. HOrowitz has two pages on morgellons in his book on lyme and he says he treats for lyme and co infections to get people better. Of course his protocol is with various Antibiotics and anti parasitics. But Stephen Buhner has a web site and i suspect the majority of people who self treat follow his herbal protocols. He is conscientious about finding the least toxic remedies and the expense is a factor. He does not benefit financially and he does not sell them. He just looks for he best product for the people.
Dr. Savely's new book on Morgellons says that she has found that of the more than 900 morgellons patients she has treated the drugs or herbals she used geared to bartonella tended to be more helpful for morgellons patients. i tried the sovereign silver. Not sure if i am imagining it but it seems i feel calmer an hour later. She says that they think morgellons is not contagious to others.
She treats for parasites to heal the problem too. Ivermectin is the most effective against morgellons, but she rotates through them. You can get ivermectin without getting it from a doctor.
I wish i knew if the shampoo caused it or if it just activated an already established quiet infection.
At least we know now that the biting is not from parasites.
Good luck. Hope you get even more improvement.
May i ask if you had the sores? Many people do not.
It just occurred to me that of course lyme disease can pass in lice. That could me the black specs form immediately and not over a period.
