Re: Diet when it comes to parasites
There is a great deal of disagreement in the world around diet. Many believe that your ancestry determines the best diet, others believe it's your blood type. Then there are those that are against any animal products, etc.
When
parasite cleansing, my belief is that the optimum diet is low carb, virtually no
Sugar including fruit. It seems that carbs and sugars are what feed the parasites. Some people have even resorted to using
Sugar as a 'bait' for
parasites with some results.
See if you can go 100% organic for at least 2 weeks and see how you feel. It takes 2 weeks to remove a food toxin from the body. Food toxins accumulate in the body so your 10% non organic builds up if it contains toxins. Check out the EWG site for foods that are generally OK if non organic.
I also recommend GreenMedInfo.com as a good source of nutritional info. Also, Dr. Greger has nutritional videos on line that are
Science based but he has a definite bias towards being a vegan. He does have some videos about toxins.
I have personally found that after a
parasite cleanse, raw cultured butter and cheese were helpful in re-establishing gut flora. The cleanse will destroy a lot of your normal gut flora and you have to work to re innoculate yourself with good bacteria. There will be an adjustment period and you will have to find what you can tolerate and move slowly back to good gut health.
