"My infectious disease doctor prexcribed me albendazole after I told her I've been treating with Ivermectin. She said Ivermectin would have worked after a week which is not what I learned from this board."

What your doctor told you is correct but she should have explained the whole story. Ivermectin only kills adult strongoloids. After a week to 10 days those adults have laid millions of eggs. You have to use Albendazole or fenbendazole or moxidectin to kill the other life stages.

Both her explaination and using these forums are a serious problem for new people if they do not commit to reading everything available to learn about the different parasite diseases.

Sharkman has provided numerous medical articles explaining the different life stages of parasites and what should be used to eradicate them. I'm not singling you out because most people won't put forth the effort to read and learn. Everyone just wants someone to tell them what to do so they can follow it blindly. Unfortunately, many of those giving advice don't know any more than what they have been told either.

This is the same reason people who try to invest in the stock market don't do well at it. If you want to WIN at something you must deep dive into learning everything you can about it. Most people have no way to give you the knowledge base you need. They can't give you the knowledge base to understand what they are saying. So you interpret it wrong. Newbies will not take the time to read it and they don't read the medical articles that are provided.

Knowledge is power. If you want to win this battle you need to read, read, read. I know that you were told to take fenbendazole and Ivermectin but you only understood the Ivermectin part.
Not criticizing you...just pointing out a serious problem in our culture. We don't understand what we are being told and we don't want to admit we don't get it so we just "wing it" with the part we got. Everyone wants an "Easy" button. The problem with that is you are putting your life in someone else' hands.

It took me 50 years or more to get this.
I don't do what anyone says until I have gained enough knowledge to make an informed choice. I would have long since been dead if I had just pressed the "easy" button.

No one wants to become an expert in parasites but you must if you wish to survive.
