I stopped all grains 2 months before beginning this fast and went lo-carb hi-fat. I was in ketosis after one month. (Lost 15 lbs during that time.)So when I began this fast I was in ketosis from the very beginning. It was the easiest transition into fasting I ever had. The first week was quite easy. On day 16 now and been feeling a little weaker every day for the last 3 days. But I'm a full time mom and have not really rested very much; I've still done all my daily tasks as usual. I've lost 15-20 lbs since the fast began.
