Re: Magnesium increases my appetite - why?

Ever since I started taking magnesium supplement I too notice an increase appetite. I stopped for awhile and lost a ton of weight but I had serious magesium deficiencies. So severe that I had a racing heart, anxiety and panic attacks! I was in the emergency twice in two days! I stared taking magnesium and has slowly started to calm my racing heart beat. Yes I'm gaining weight again. But I rather have that then feeling weak, panic attack or my heart is going to explode. Thank you God that I'm slowly doing better.
It may also be my adrenals too which MG is an important mineral too have. I do believe when taking it does move thing through your system but I also believe why people crave more fat is because calcium and magnesium compete in the body. Calcium is used to supply lipase which is an enzyme that breaks down fat. If your body isn't breaking down fats properly your going to crave more fat. You can take omega 3s which also reduces fat cravings or take a calcium supplement with vitamin D.
