Re: Worst Internet Health Information Sites - Validity?
This was a falling out between the "Truth in Medicine" and iodine promoting members. Not only that, it was also between others that promoted other modalities, treatments, supplements, or ideas that went against that specific forum of "truth in medicine" at the time. The guy created alternative websites against curezone and the people he fought with, promoting his perspective and angst.
What's really the truth? I believe he has good intentions, but so do many others. I don't believe that there's any dogmatic or formal approach that is absolute, but that's the whole reason for this site's existence in the first place. And, yes, there are many un-scientific things promoted as fact. However, even science has become corrupt and difficult to trust due to the conflicts of interest in society/corporations/government.
How does one police pharma when they hold solidarity with government and are gatekeepers of published research?
The "Truth in Medicine" point of view differed, caused conflict, and created this mess. It's difficult to unify alternative practice/medicine when so little authoritarian unification exists - due to indoctrination of authoritarianism heavily influencing most people's thoughts and agents subverting alternative medicine as quackery.
Quackery was invented a long time ago to combat alternative practitioners. In other words quakery was the answer to competition.
