Re: Cultural, historical and Linguistic contexts. :)

Well that's just it Illy, it's hard to have a mixture of beliefs all intermingling at the same time here on curezone. Even though I appreciate a place to come and discuss with people these differences and thoughts on matters as mature christians, we have to keep in mind that there are those new to the faith or at the door to Christ's knocking. We have no control over who reads what we write and you can't have tons of disclaimers and tons of scriptures after every post to fill in the gaps of their lack of understanding. Mainly because we don't know what every person's lack is.

Even Jesus had this problem within some of the crowds that gathered to hear Him speak. Some accepted what He taught and others just walked away. However, here we have no leader other than the Holy Spirit. We have to believe that even if it takes a long time and many mistakes (on our part) that He has a plan for all of us. The question is...do we all want to be a part of it or not?

As Dr. Hovind would say, eat the meat and spit out the bones. But for a person who is young in the Lord, I'm not sure that is aways easy to do.
We just have to ask the Holy Spirit to speak to each heart the message that is true and continue to listen as we gradually learn deeper understanding to what we just learned.
