Re: swelling, shoulder pain, dark circles under eyes

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles.

Doesn't RO water cause a depletion of some minerals? Don't you have to replace them with liquid minerals or other source?

For example zinc is important to the immune system and I think it is important in enzymes related to methylation, adrenal and sex hormones, detox (MT proteins) and much more.

I had a very long history of ear infections and sinus infections. *High dose* zinc lozenges have certainly been helpful. I don't think I've gotten more than 1 fullblown cold since I started on them. You take them when you feel the earliest symptoms. At the very least it will make your cold mild and short. I use either the tasty but more expensive LEF product or just 1/4 of a zinc gluconate from local cvs pharmacy. Supposedly it won't taste bad if your body needs more Zn.

We use just a partial tablet.

This is going to sound really weird but your symptom list is a really good fit for someone who is suffering from too much mercury. Honestly I would have struggled to believe you until you said you had to drop out of school and the doc gave you an SSRI.

Check out the list of symptoms under the 1000+ hair tests at this site used by heavy metal detox groups

In this 30 min audio interview A. Cutler, PhD Chemistry and Dr Dan Pompa both talk about their heavy metal problem, how much they struggled to get diagnosed, and what they did to get much improved. You'll have to right-click the link at this site and download the mp3

When mercury is involved there will typically be a change in personality. It affects the brain and hormone systems. These veteran members of the yahoo detox groups express the changes rather well. Rita's list of symptoms is rather typical for a middle aged female; however even younger people with an Hg problem should identify with the list. We who have a HM problem typically connect well with each other even though we are often considered strange to healthy people.

I bet you'll identify with some of what this HS senior wrote. He is now able to take some college classes but still is not fully recovered. I bet he'd be willing to chat with you.

The good news is that young people often get improvements more quickly than older folks.

We can chat about adrenals if you'd like; however at your age, you'll probably want to try things that do not involve hormones--vitamin C, B5, maybe adrenal cortex glandular.

Have you tried epsom salt, maybe a foot bath? The magnesium is good for Hg toxic folks and the sulfate will help support one liver detox pathway, one that might be related to the dark circles.
