Re: Life After Anode or Aqua Ions Summer Vacation in Solution
Since most of us who use CS, no matter the creation style, find it to be fulfilling our needs, this thread should be about refining what weve read and certainly nothing worth arguing about.
I have no chem degree, nor expertise on CS.
I like trying to think, research and consider it all thru.
I appreciate relying on genuine experts to set straight what I read and only assume to be correct.
Yeah charged particles, unstably stable, like so many of us, er ions, that is.
What I read on this matter of Silver Ion stability created in regular LVDC room temp distilled water is that, similar to the many many types of metallic ions found normally unencumbered by polarity, in our bodies fluids and in numerous environs on the planet (sea water for one), an ions (in fluid in this instance) aren't particularly susceptible to electrical reorientation unless coming into contact with, and with certain conditions applying, a supersaturated state, an appropriate, oppositely polarized Ion or by active nucleation of some kind.
Heating will increase the saturation of solutions, but silver oxide doesn't decompose into metallic silver and oxygen until heated to 392 F.
anon 2016:
"Silver is the third place least reactive metal. Silver hydroxide does exist. It is a dark gray solid and not very soluble in water. Silver hydroxide will rearrange in aqueous solutions to give hydrated silver oxide which is the color of coffee with cream in it. --- both of these forms (can be seen) on the silver electrodes or form insoluble precipitates in
Colloidal Silver , along with silver oxide (black)"
furthermore ibid 2016:
"However, what I haven't seen are any chemical analysis of any of these "self appointed internet silver gurus" so called silver oxide solutions. They go on and on about about Faradays Laws of Electrolysis, how they know how much silver ppm is formed and the size of the nanoparticles "through theory", or others state without citation that electrolysis always forms metallic oxides, but not one has spent a dime for a lab to prove what they claim so far to date".
After your posted statement claims on LVDC ionic silver, I pooched the ball back to you so I think the ball is still in your court to answer the question(s) of why do you (or your choice of expert) contend that a solution of silver ions in distilled water is (electrical charge wise) unstable enough to be immediately reversed or (switching back and forth) their polarized state.
PS My choice of understanding Argyria(cause there are difference here too I figure) is that it comes from elemental silvers compounding(most often thru breathing in silver dust) not orally ingested ionic silver's presence.
