Re: Exciting topic and questions by - vairagi

Sorry to have missed this post. Unfortunately, the forums are less than intuitive when it comes to keeping track of topics and comment updates.

That said, I'm not entirely sure I'm following the question pertaining to ion instability and valences. Though I'm thinking this may be a good opportunity to ask what you believe takes place beyond the dissociation stage at the anode in the production of an LVDC Colloidal Silver solution.

ie, once a silver ion is liberated from the anode what happens next in your view? Does it bind or combine with anything? Is it stable? What chemical composition does it take? Can it be oxidized? Is it light sensitive? and so-on and so-forth...

I look forward to your response as this will likely prove indispensable in gaining a mutual understanding of the chemical process in question as well as avoiding talking past each other as a result of insufficient definitions.

PS. While I would agree that silver chloride remains ionic (as a compound). I'd add that it remains undesirable due to its recent association in the formation of Argyria.
