I have had an open, bleeding area on the side of my nose for about eight years. About a month ago I started applying topically Lugol's 7% no-alcohol iodine. For the first time in eight years that area on my nose is almost completely covered with skin. There was a blood-filled scab for a while but that is almost completely gone. I purchased the Lugol's from Amazon.
