Re: My story, please help - severe anxiety and folliculitis
Everyone has different success stories but here is mine.
I had HORRIBLE HORRIBLE systemic yeast infection/parasites/etc after working in Asia and had to return home because I couldn't even stand up I was so sick (the 15 hour flight home was hell :P ). Here is what finally worked for me after 2 months of having all of the same problems and after many doctor visits (GI Doc/homeopathic doc/etc) and even heavy prescription drugs (including anti-fungals):
* stop taking any/all extra suppliments, this was weirdly inhibiting my improvement, I don't know why.
* Lots of fiber (to help flush your system as your killing everything.
* take pinx if you fear
parasites too (over the counter, I take it once a month for now just incase)
* MOST IMPORTANTLY take
Lugol's Iodine 2%. Also cheap on amazon. You won't have any severe die-off symptoms you get with other treatments. I saw most success with 10-15 drops 4-5 times a day. At first I thought this was excessive but really, It didn't create ANY bad symptoms while taking and I seriously saw 80-90% improvement in my health in days.
* while taking this try to abstain from meat (I know most people say no sugar, but screw that, I gave up
Sugar and gluten and yeast and what felt like everything good for a whole month and got worse! There are a lot of myths with candida so I did a lot of my own tests and only when I cut out meat I saw improvement). Candida is rough but when I had it severely I spit in a glass of water and I literally could see all the candida in the water. Gross, but I poured some drops of
Lugol's in the water and saw the chitin and fibrin walls that candida makes to protect itself from anti-fungals (made up of proteins [meat helps build these walls I think] fall apart and all the white stuff turned to black. I can only assume this was both breaking down the candida and killing the cells. After 4 days I have enough energy to exercise which brings me to another factor...
* EXERCISE. I am serious. This has been helping SO MUCH. You sweat out toxins, you force better blood circulation.... I don't actually think I need to preach this one.
* Add anti-fungals. Primarily I take salted almonds as snacks because 1) salt is good to fight candida AND your brain's neurons have potassium and sodium pumps, so you feel better and less brain fog with salt. 2) almonds are a powerful anti-fungal! :)
* max dophilus (pro and pre-biotics to replace all the crap in your stomach with good stuff)

* pair this with resistant starch (food for the pro-pre-biotics) this makes me have seriously vivid dreams and feel freakin amazing and happy and it's only 3 bucks. Put a spoonful in water and drink. No taste for me, just feel really good afterwards.

* tobacco I read online often contains yeast which is not the best for candida, but I still eat bread and bagels and such yet still getting better, so I can only assume that it just makes the healing take longer, ya know?
Make sure to always eat well. Skipping a meal will be a problem as your immune system is currently compromised.
Seriously, it wasn't until I pretty much ate whatever I wanted (except meat) and took
Lugol's Iodine that I saw HUGE improvements. You're young, so you should recover quickly as long as you're eating enough/exercising enough and taking lugol's.
Don't know if this matters, but I also took some pills that were patented/designed to specifically attach candida... I saw no improvement when taking them, but I also don't know if paired with lugol's it helped? I don't know. If you want even more specifics of my regime, let me know. But seriously LUGOL'S haha.
Good luck.
