The "Holy Spirit" was NOT GIVEN until Jesus was glorified (when He ascended to be with The Father, John 7:39). The JEWS only had their ONE husband and were an impure bride because they only able to achieve TEMPORARY CLEANSING (it is IMPOSSIBLE that the blood of BULLS AND GOATS can take away sin). So The Father sent a LAMB).


The Jews were told in Isaiah 9:18 to expect a "Prince of Peace"/Messiah. They did accept Jesus in the Messiahship role, but they did not ALSO AQCCEPT Him in the"Wonderful Counselor"/Holy Spirit role.

If you ever heard of the INCIDENT AT ANTIOCH (Council of Jerusalem, Acts 11:26?), you'll und3estand that they preferred to retain "circumcision" (devotional approval) by holding on to the laws of Moses instead of embracing God's divine Spirit in their lifestyle.
