Re: Low morning cortisol, very low DHEA, low Androsterone, low progesterone
Hello,
I would recommend cutting back on protein. Lyme has created a very high ammonia environment in my body, that is only made worse by protein. Therefore, I cycle protein on for a couple days, and then low protein eating mainly veggies, rice, and sweet potatoes for a couple days.
Increasing the amount of lactic acid forming bacteria also seems helpful in lowering ammonia, by lowering levels of ammonia produced by gut bacteria , but I can't tolerate many strains. I culture some b. bifidus and L. acidophilus for 24 hrs and it helps tremendously.
I was just diagnosed with lyme, but have had it for some time judging by my symptoms. Adrenal stimulation/fatigue is a hallmark of high ammonia. I really think you should give low pro a try, at least for a few days at a time. Some light exertion is helpful,as well as short saunas (<15min) and
coffee enemas will help as well. Just don't overdo anything. I hope this helps.
