brain wiring

Hey!
I believe it will be a continuous process of progressively better food choices and periodic fasts. These two help one another. Better to have few days of healthier choices, if not entirely raw food before a fast. It is more likely to choose the healthy food after the fast, then.
Raw food lifestyle and greenmedinfo are good sources to get some reasons on the why of things.
One needs replacement focus to wean off food addictions. In fact someone had shown that food addictions (for ex. toward dairy or gluten) can be stronger than heroin addictions. Some of the substances in these food items bind to the opioid receptors in the brain.
Setting time to rest when needed, while keeping busy was my successful strategy for my first fasts. Then I could do with more relaxed schedule and not being so cranky about not having my entertainment of eating.
Best,
DL
