I am going to attempt a 5 day Water Fast starting from this evening. I'd love to chat to anyone who is also currently fasting/about to begin a fast. It would be great to have some support and for us to motivate each other! I have attempted fasting in the past and I've only managed a maximum of 2 1/2 days. I am doing this, not to lose weight (although that would be a nice positive!) but mainly to 'reset' my relationship with food. I've got an addiction to food...never did I think my life would revolve so much around it. If I am not eating, I am constantly thinking about what to have for my next meal and I am consuming 4-5 days worth of calories every day. I am not overweight and that is mainly owed to my height and presumably fast metabolism, but this is taking over my life, and has done for some time now. I want to cleanse my body, refresh my mind and change my attitude towards food. I am fed up and emotionally drained.
