Re: UPDATE: Almost 2 weeks of Aquaphor

Yeah I still now precisely when I started getting EC, it was about 3 years ago that my lips got extremely dehydrated and instead of moisturizing them I just took all of the dry skin of in the shower and went out like that, with my lips unprotected, never really been into dietary changes or vitamin supplements because I can really recall what caused it: dehydration. I've been trying to heal it for 10 months now but haven"t been doing the constant moisture method constantly, and currently i'm actually at a point where when I don't put anything on my lips they actually heal perfectly, all my lines come back and they look just like normal lips but the problem is that after a while this top layer of skin, which looks perfect, just comes of way to easy, it like literally rips and tears of, but they're not scabs... just normal looking top layer of skin. So a month ago I started the constant moisture method again but I ate normally, licking my lips while eating and everything and after 2 weeks ,just like with you, I no longer really had any buildup on my lips. But like I said, when I put a good layer of constant moisterizer on my lips they go back to being very raw and smooth and the vertical lines dissapear just like you said in your post. So I don't really know wich road to go down now, maybe I'll try not letting anything touch my lips again, and not licking since that can really irritate the lips.
