I was diagnosed with an overgrowth of enterobacter cloacae several years ago. i found an NIH article that indicated that peppermint is effective against it. I took peppermint essential oil and put peppermint tincture in my water. I had been experiencing malodorous flatulence from the E cloacae. It began to remit right away. I needed to take the peppermint for several months to clear up the problem completely. Oregano oil , thyme oil, rosemary oil, garlic, and Grapefruit-Seed-Extract were ineffective against E cloacae.
