Re: Help Reading my Cortisol / Hormone Test Results

What did the doctor say about the low T4 along with lo-norm TSH?

Do you realize that is counterintuitive?

Your levels of thyroid hormone (T4) are low but your pituitary is not sending out much signal to make more of it. With low T4 I'd expect hi-norm TSH.

There are quite a few pituitary hormones. Do you have symptoms of low levels of several of them?

We discuss this sometimes in the heavy metal--HM--detox groups since the pituitary and hypothalamus are rather vulnerable to mercury, and other HMs.

"Crashing" with fatigue and foggy brain during stressful times might be consistent with this. Learn about ACTH.

Look into an irregular female cycle and frequent urination (aldosterone & ADH) as possible symptoms.

Eventually there are supplements you can take that might take the edge off of some of the symptoms but you also might need some medication. I probably would avoid the supplements until the doctor is finished running tests.

Eventually a larger thyroid hormone panel probably would be interesting--Free T3 RT3, maybe more.

You might try this self-test to try to get a feel if it is thyroid and or adrenal.

If HMs are involved, they are affecting energy production in many ways.
