Re: Exfoliative Cheilitis or just severely chapped lips?
I'm not sure if we have the same idea of inflamed, but when the white film comes off, it is most definitely raw. Right now, my lips look a little normal so I don't know if taking a pic will help you guys diagnose it. Since I'll be monitoring my progress, I do plan on taking pictures so I can show comparisons in the future for reference.
Yes I'm aware that leaving them completely alone will take a long time, even then, the leave alone method is not for everyone as far as I know. It's worth a try for me I guess since I'm on a gap year anyway so I only go out to the gym or when I'm bored at home.
Maybe my lips look "normal" because I gently clip off the excess growing skin from time to time and right now I apply aloe vera straight from the plant and it does seem to help. So far (1 week, 2 days) this is what's helping me. I don't know if switching to 100% leave alone would do any good but right now I won't completely leave them alone because what I do is helping, even if temporarily.
Yup that's exactly why I didn't opt to see one anymore, so anyway I'm still new to this site. I'm still a little confused on the layout, but anyway I'm assuming since you're here you are also suffering from this condition? Any luck, progress whatsoever?
