30 Day Water Fast Complete

Over the weekend i passed the 30 day mark and decided to break my fast. I had hoped to take one more week towards 40 days but my body was telling me it was time.

It’s hard to believed that 30 days has passed. Again, as I mentioned in a previous post, fasting was both extremely difficult but easy at the same time. The mental test was much more trying than the physical one and the key was taking it day by day and moment by moment.

To break my fast I decided to use a homemade grass-fed beef bone broth I let simmer in the crock pot for two days before I broke the fast. I was having a hard time wrapping my head around using pulp free juice. It seemed that would be more of a shock to my pancreas/digestive track ketone burning body than bone-broth. I am not raw or vegan so I decided to go with my gut…pun intended. The first sip was like a bolt of warm comfort shooting through my body. What a moment. I have continued to drink bone broth though out the last few days and have been incorporating full fruits such as grapefruit and Watermelon and lacto fermented vegetables such as pickles and sauerkraut. Last night I had a cup of kefir and this morning included small amounts of meat. tonight I will probably have salad with a soft boiled eggs. Small portions and chew a lot. No discomfort and bowels have begun working fine again too it seems.

Results of the fast are about 6 inches off the waist and 50lbs lost and taste buds are definitely more sensitive now. Heart of Palm tasted like butter. Cravings have subsided

Now the real work begins in maintaining.
