Re: Intermittent fastibg

Olivia,

This is a good question and a complex one.

First of all we are all different. Something that works for me may not work for you and many. Fasting itself is a very intricate process and depends on a lot of factors as well as what will body work on on each fast you go under. Also it depends on one's goals for intermittent fasting, i.e.some may do it for curing diabetes, some may just do it to lose weight slowly.

So now my experience.....

I have done fasts with all these variations. 6-8 hour eating window did not benefit me because late night I was always hungry, secondly, I had to make eating plans in advance and know exactly when I will have to be home to eat, I had schedule conflicts all the time.

I liked fasting every other day, but the challenges were fasting on days when I had to work, relatively easier than a longer fast and working, but still had challenges. Sometimes I just forgot that I had to fast today or tomorrow.

5:2 diet, I have never tried in its designed way because two days of calorie restriction and counting calories was hard.

But my personal favorite is eat for 6 days and then fast one day, Sunday for me was best day to not eat. This gives your system much needed rest and time to clean. If you do not feel that it is enough to rest and cleanse then you can do two days of fasting, which I also liked.

I hope you will find something that works for you after trying each variety of the intermittent fasting.
