Well thing is the listeria actually took up residence in the adrenals. It also does the same thing in the spleen, liver, and lymphnodes etc. So yes it is using oxidative damage to destroy the adrenals but thats because it is living inside them. It would e a huge stretch to think the adrenal damage is seondary to vitamin c depletion. Also Take a look at the wiki article on 'acth test' in the 'simple diagnostic chart' section most of us I believe are going to fall in the primary category based on elevated dhea, low cortisol, high renin (makes salt cause high blood pressure) and low aldosterone (potassium causes blood pressure to plummet)
