Re: Discernment test: Real or Fake?

Here's another interesting story about healing. This is about my husband:

Many years ago, I think he was about eighteen or so, he was playing a sport and he dislocated his shoulder, badly. His arm was just hanging limp. So he goes to the hospital and they do x-rays and they tell him, "You are going to need surgery". So he goes to church and gets prayed over and suddenly his arm is back in socket, he's no longer in pain, and he and everyone is sure he is completely healed. Fast forward a couple of years later and he wants to go into the military. So he is going through the whole process of getting in, and everything is going well until he gets to the physical examination. And then the big blow comes, he's denied. Why? Because of his significant shoulder injury they discovered in the examination. He was shocked and disappointed. He hadn't noticed any problems with his shoulder. So he was not completely healed even though he thought he was. And even though his life hasn't significantly been affected by this issue in anyway (except being denied into the military) and he's not in a lot of pain or anything, he has to be really careful with his shoulder since it's a very weak area of his body and he can get in significant pain with it if he's not careful.

Why do I tell this story? Because I think we are too quick to proclaim complete healing when it might not be the case. That's why I say, when I see all these healing videos, can we really know there was a true complete healing unless we continue to follow these people and see what happens afterwards.

The true gift of healing produced complete and instant healings according to what I see in the bible and I think that had to be for the purpose they were for at that time.

But I believe once again, God can do partial or full healings, or say no to healing altogether depending on his purpose. I'm thankful for my husband's partial healing and that he didn't have to go through surgery at that time.
