lemon, rant, and Merry Christmas
Thanks for validating that, Archus!
I did not know Ayurveda also states the same :)
I am undecided about the use of lemons in the future. They preserve well green juices in my fridge for about 3 days. They also give it a nice taste-tinge added to the alkalinity of these juices, which otherwise are a bit ... strange. I use maybe like 1/2 lemon per liter of juice and then top the full jar with few drops so the top layer doesn't get easily oxidized and dark.
I guess I'll go with my internal feeling.
You are so lucky that you grew up in an Ayurveda-inclined family.
Today I spoke with my parents through SKYPE and my mother told me lengthy stories about their meal plans and especially the wheat breads and sprouts she is going to make ... given all my instructions about the down sides of these. Then when I answered the question about my Christmas plans, I reiterated the fasting and she cried when I told her why I am doing it, as if we did not speak so many times about my health issues. The sad part is that she has nearly the same issues, but much more advanced and she prefers to be in denial and ignore everything which interferes with the way she likes it and is accustomed to.
It is such a ravine between her and my new adult self. I hate the fact that she could have been so much more open-minded in my early youth, sparring me so much trouble in my later years. It is what it is.
On a brighter note: Merry Christmas! To you, your family and everyone on the forum
