Re: constant spaced out, dissociated state. need help.
Hi Tom
I'm so sorry that you are in the middle of your own personal Hell. I was so moved by your post because each and every thing you stated in your post is precisely what I was going through 12 months ago. I have described it as walking around like I've drank a 12 pack or smoked a lot of week (but without the euphoria). I felt like i was walking through life in a bowl of molasses. It was hard to think, my short term memory was shot, I couldn't read, I couldn't drive and I could barely focus on a television show. I became hypersensitive to light, sound, the negative energy of some people. I remember calling a crisis line once because I thought I was indeed losing my mind. If I didn't have my three year old little boy, I would have certainly ended my life without a doubt.
What I didn't realize at the time, I had leaky gut syndrome, candida overgrowth and a handful of undiagnosed
food sensitivities .
I would recommend that you go on an anti-inflammatory diet where you eliminate all potential allergens and any food that can cause an inflammatory response in your body. It is highly likely that you have leaky gut so google that an make sure you take the supplements necessary to heal your leaky gut. It will take some time. You should also address the candida right away but make sure you are supporting your live when you do that so you don't have awful die off. Eliminate all foods that may be allergens: dairy, soy, corn, eggs and gluten. Once you heal your leaky gut and have been healthy for a while, you may be able to add some of these foods back into your diet, but get rid of them for now!
You may have a leaky blood brain barrier as well. I did. There is a book called "Why Isn't My Brain Working" that is an absolute must read for anyone experiencing brain fog. The author recommends supplements to heal the leaky blood brain barrier and they work well.
Yoga and guided meditations are so helpful for your symptoms. As impossible as it seems to exercise when you feel awful, moderate exercise is one of the best treatments for brain fog.
You are in for a battle and you have to attack this battle with your body, mind and spirit. It's a long process and it sucks. It sucks every single day. You feel as awful as somebody bedridden from chemotherapy but the world will look upon you like you are a lazy, emotionally damaged hypochondriac. It is literally a hell on earth but you can make it out!!!
