New to the forums, seeking advise on reoccurring stomach issues.


Hello,

I'm new to the forums, found some information regarding candida die-off that linked me here and I decided to make a post to hopefully gain some further insight as to what's been going on with my gut.

Long story short, I'm 35 and since my twenties have been having irritable bowel issues, loose stool (diarrhea), an urgent sense of having to go and having a feeling of not being able to wait, bloating, fatigue, gas, drastic change in vision (ocular disturbance of sorts), occasional ringing in ears, feeling off balance at times.

I'm 245 LBS and 6'1. At some point in my adult life, I accepted the fact that this is how I was going to feel and needed to just "accept things" for what they were. More recently, I was battling some really bad anxiety, visited a doctor and was prescribed prozac. I took myself off of it entirely about a month ago and made the decision that I needed to heal myself internally first and foremost. I quit Sugar entirely, to the best of my ability and started taking a "strong" probiotic called ProbioticAmerica which claims 15 unique strands, 30 billion CFU's per pill. Anyhow, I've been on them for about 2 weeks and have been experiencing stomach cramps, bloating, gas, itchy rectum and an overall sick to my stomach feeling at times. On the positive side, my stool has become more solid, I still feel fatigued often but feel like it's slightly improved since taking the probiotic. I also have had, dry and cracking skin on a foot that has 2 toes with a nail fungus. It's hard to tell if whats on the bottom of my foot is a fungus or just normal dry skin.

Anyhow, I know it's a lot to digest, I'm just seeking some advise on what I might be able to do in addition to what I've already done, I'm committed to fixing this, I just feel so lost with all of the misinformation that's about on the internet. I've been reading on the possibility of having parasites in my system which wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. As per a recommendation on another site for "candida die-off" I started taking 175mg of Milk Thistle 3 times a day and 1000mg of vitamin C daily, not sure if it's helping flush my system of toxins from the candida die-off or not, honestly, I'm not even sure I have candida... I'm a hot mess.

My anxiety has seemingly improved even over the course of the short 2 weeks I've been using this probiotic, I'm just struggling with the constant feeling of fatigue to the point of feeling like I'm constantly in a sleep deprived state. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and have a machine, I'm just not wearing it consistently when I sleep.

Sorry to ramble on, hopeful that one of you who's more well versed in this area than I, can provide some useful information that may aid in my journey.
