Chagas Yet another case of the government and medicine letting us down.

I noticed this week that the news is talking about Chagas disease. Caused by a parasite in the fecal matter of the Kissing bug.

Five years ago I started seeing these bugs around my house. Since I had never seen them before I looked them up. The web sites I looked at said that this bug causes Chagas disease but "Not to worry as the bugs were only in Mexico and were not in US." HA! I've been stomping them for 5 years.

I tried to inform the health department but my e-mails went unacknowledged.?? Another weirdo calling about something that doesn't exist.

Well I hate to inform you, I live near the great lakes and I have been seeing these bugs for 5 years.

The CDC is now admitting that the bug exists through out the US and Chagas disease is on the rise. The real issue is you may not experience anything but flu symptoms until years later.

Please watch out for these Kissing Bugs. Dogs are also being infected with Chagas. Tweet
