How to increase GABA

I'm pretty sure that low GABA levels are responsible for my sleep problems, anxiety etc..

GABA helps deactivate the sympathetic nervous system and lower adrenaline and other fight or flight hormones to help you sleep.

I believe Adrenal fatigue, caffeine and too much sexual activity have depleted my GABA levels.

I currently take L theanine because it supposedly helps increase GABA and lower glutamate - or help it convert into GABA.

I'm thinking of trying GABA itself - but it might not cross the blood brain barrier.

I'm also thinking of trying L glutamine but I'm worried that this may just end up in more glutamate and that it won't convert to GABA.

I have some phenibut but it doesn't seem to work at all and can only be used 1-2 x a week.
