Re: Day 18 and a question.
Hi, DL! I've never done any kind of flushing, colonic, enema, etc. and don't feel like it's the time, so I'll heed your warning. Maybe in the future I'll give it a go!
All I had was IV fluid for aggressive hydration therapy, I heard saline solution once, but I'm not sure completely, it's only written as IV fluid in the report I read. It was clear and I had to painfully get up to walk to the bathroom to go pee about 200 times a day fo'sho'. :') It probably had other electrolytes added. I had a potassium shot for hypokalemia. Albumin was hooked up at some points. Always
Antibiotics were added and injections of painkillers in the IV or my poor bruised buttock. I had no feeding tube and was told food and water couldn't be taken in order to give my pancreas the best chance to heal. It's one of the few situations where fasting is actually used in mainstream medical practice because the pancreas is so delicate and, at first, I was in a delicate balance between recovery and necrosis. So it's perhaps not a true fast, but of sorts, I did lose 30lbs during that time.
Thanks, I'm taking it into consideration! I really don't want to break my fast but I'm going to try some other suggestions and re-feed if I don't get any relief or have my bowel movement in the next week.
