I just want to put caution to wind when it comes to using baking soda. It can be too abrasive for the face. While I like your suggestion to mix it in water then drink it for alkanizing purposes, however I would strongly suggest you use a gentler treatment for your face. I like using all natural raw honey to act as a gentle cleanser because of the antibacterial/antifungal properties. Also its very gentle and works well against dry, flaky, red skin.
