I'm sorry about this late reply. I have been travelling a lot over the last month, and the symptoms I described are mostly gone. Most of the time I do not feel excessively thirsty.

Intuitively, I feel it is better to not do anything until the problem comes back. I would not want to spend a significant amount of money (at least in this country) over a Sugar test or a glucose monitor at the present moment when I don't seem to have a difficulty.
