Remember that the bacterial count of the probiotic is just the number of organisims alive inside the packet, making up the weight of the food product (a probiotic is food). ;) Have you been able to find data on what strains are in VSL #3?
I'm researching the FMT and probiotic material myself this year, sos is really good getting to learn it :)

Remember fasting as a powerful tool too- I take breaks from the cycles of self-treatment for breathers, 2-3 days on teas and water, it's amazingly refreshing (and an accomplishment).
