Re: Advice - water fasting and joint pain

I only did gluten-free for a little over a week. I stopped because of the ND that wanted to test me for food intolerances . Then I canceled my appt to be tested because it was going to be like $300 and it seemed like Science didn't even support the testing methods they were using.

Yesterday was the appt with the rheumatologist and he said that I probably had RA, it looked like RA, but that he wanted to confirm with a blood test. So I have an appt with him in 20 days to hear about the tests. He also took X-rays of my hands and feet and they gave me a steroid shot which doesn't seem to have affected anything.

Yesterday and today I have been subsisting on fruit and vegetable smoothies while I plan what to do next. I wasn't sure about Water Fasting right after the steroids shot. But I think I will probably start Water Fasting tomorrow, although I just started my period yesterday, which I guess doesn't really matter. Also I'm moving next week so this is going to make the whole process more difficult, but I'll just have to ask for help with that.

Is it okay to fast unsupervised for two weeks or more? I thought I was 127 lbs but at the doctor yesterday I weighed 122.2. There is a fasting center near where I live but it is $$$.

Thanks for your thoughts.
