I believe it will safer to do a 24 hrs only at first, and after a week try for more.
I like the suggestion below for boron. Also Selenium, as in Brazil nuts, copper and zinc may prove beneficial. Silica as in Nettle helps too. I rarely recommend animal products, but gelatin, glucosamin (fighting gluten's bad acts) from good sources can be daily friends for a joint sufferer.
Parsley can taper inflammation in joints.
