The word creature means "something created".
To be sanctified by God doesn't mean we are no longer his creation. We will always be God's creation.

The huge problem with this world is that people think of themselves as gods and not God's creation. And so they worship the creation, or creature, instead of God.
So to me, that quote is right on. When we see God for who he is, we are humbled, and we take on an opposite attitude than that of the world, we see ourselves as a creation, not a god.

Romans 1:25
because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.


I've posted this video a few times already. But it always leaves me in awe of God every time I see it. Who am I that the Creator of all the universe, would look on me with love at all?

The creation we are able to see is tainted in every way by the fall. Can we even imagine what the new heaven and earth that God is creating for us will be like?
