Re: Electricity tends to flow through the path of least resistance
AK, you have always been a valued contributor of excellent technical information.
Also, being originally from Texas, a long time resident of Florida, but current located near Birmingham, AL., I also do not agree with the idea that wall warts are inherently safe but they can be used with our products if a customer so wishes.
Here is what one customer recently wrote to us:
"Simply put it is the best zapper I ever used both for frequencies and quality construction. Started with a Dr. Eddy zapper in Thailand and purchased zappers from the Hulda website, pacific health products and the ultimate. The only plus feature on the ultimate is of course voltage so I purchased a 9V converter, spliced the ( male ) and female ends and used your zapper for over three years with out having to buy 9v batteries because yours is far superior. B.D."
I have also used a special wall wart that is IEC60601 rated for additional safety. While they may be safe 99.99 percent of the time, I still do not feel that even this guarantees your survival in the event of an extreme surge and this is why I do not recommend such usage.
If someone wants to save money on batteries, I would suggest the Titanium 9.6v260 and a good charger as a safer alternative.
Also, for a strongest output, our UZI series has a 10.5 volt output from a standard 9 volt battery but rechargeable are definitely recommended with it.
You are correct that there is research going on in regards to the use of electromagnetic pulses for killing microbes, but this is mostly concentrated in novel specific applications that can produce patent rights rather than pursuing improvements to the current state of the art.
