Important info for those who had bad experiences with Iodine
I started taking Iodine a while ago. I started low and gradually increased to 100 MG a day of Lugols (along with all cofactors/salt).
In the first two weeks I had really bad detox symptoms. Swollen neck, detox spots all over my arms.
After that, I felt amazing! I had increased metabolism, increased focus, increased energy, etc.
Then, three months later, I started to feel really tired, started to get minor tooth pain/decay, heart racing/palpitations, anxiety (which I NEVER had before), eye twitching, pain in my hands and feet, muscle aches, minor cramps, loss of grip in hands/feet.
WHAT I FOUND WAS THIS:
IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH IODINE, IT IS VERY POSSIBLY A MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY!
MY THEORY IS THAT IODINE DEPLETES MAGNESIUM!
I was already taking 400-800 MG of Magnesium Glycinate/Citrate from the day I started taking Iodine, but it apparently wasn't fully being absorbed or wasnt enough!!
I started using Transdermal Magnesium (which is Magnesium Oil rubbed into your skin) and within 2-3 days, all my symptoms were gone!!!!!!!
So now I am taking the same 100 MG of Lugols Iodine, along with a lot of Transdermal Magnesium Oil (like 60-100 sprays per day) and 200 MG Magnesium Glycinate, with no problems whatsoever!!
I recommend anyone who is having problems with Iodine to try Magnesium Oil.
From my research and experience it is the most bioavailable form of Magnesium and also the cheapest. It beats all pill forms of Magnesium because Magnesium is best absorbed through the skin. The best source of magnesium is actually swimming in the OCEAN! (which is why Magnesium Oil works so well)
Dr Sircus has a lot of articles on this.
You can get Magnesium Oil in two ways. Buy it as oil or buy it as flakes and make it yourself. If you make it yourself from flakes it takes less than 5 minutes and it is 10x cheaper.
1. Buy the flakes
2. Heat 1 cup distilled water on the stove
3. Mix in 1 cup flakes in boiling water
4. Done!
If anyone knows anything about why Iodine depletes magnesium, let me know!!!!!!!!! Im wondering if it depletes anything else.....
