Re: Skin parasite
I've been pulling those out of my neck and face area off and on for roughly seven years. My symptoms overall are most consistent with Morgellons Disease. Since these are blood-soaked, I tend to think they might be some type of hematophagous
parasite but your picture is the first I've seen on the net that matches my findings so it might be undiscovered. These tend to appear when I tweeze out one of the little rice grain looking things, which, if large, opens a blood supply. Blood will briefly drain from the opening and these wash out with it sometimes. I've found numerous other artifacts but these are consistently some of the largest, measuring as much as 3
inches or more. If you found one, there are likely more in the vicinity. I've pulled hundreds of the rice grains and probably 20+ of these, though usually smaller, in two or three days from an area of one square
inch on my neck and face area. If the area is inflamed, there are probably more. Dollar Tree Sassy+Chic Make Up Foundation in a 1
oz. tube (two shades, Dark and Light, Dark seems to work better but not sure if there is really any difference) tends to bring them up and soften or liquify them for easier extraction. It works as well or better than zinc oxide and some of the other topicals I've seen recommended. Not sure if it's safe as makeup isn't controlled by FDA. I can only imagine what's in Dollar Tree Chinese makeup. Use at your own risk and let me know if you found an ID. I'm on an intensive search right now due to some time off. Thanks.
