You can lose up to a pound a day fasting. However, I cannot recommend a long fast such as you are proposing without the supervision of a sympathetic health professional. I fasted this summer for 59 days (before starting, I did a 30 day pre-cleanse diet of fruits and vegetables). I have an excellent naturopath who is also an iridologist, nutritionist, RN and
colonic therapist who gave me excellent support and direction, and continues to do so as I continue with a cleansing/rebuilding diet. A fast this long can put your body through some major changes (mine is undergoing a complete metabolic readjustment--including hormones!). Also, be very aware that nothing stores toxins like FAT! As your body breaks down fat the toxins go directly into your system for disposal, causing some hellatious toxic crises! Be very aware of what you are undertaking, and again, I would recommend that you get professional support as well as the info and support you get on this great board.
Why must you lose 100
lbs. by January??? This is a pretty serious undertaking, not a terribly realistic goal, and you should understand health implications before you get into any kind of cleanse or weight loss program.
HEALTH should be your main priority.
The Master Cleanse can certainly help you to attain this goal, but it is only a part of what should be a multi faceted program including diet, exercise and restructuring of your lifestyle to maintain healthy weight.
