Here's my Fabulous Story of ...Chronic Constipation :)

Hello folks, I'm 25, and have been suffering from chronic constipation for 9 years. As I'm sure you all understand, it's your best friend in the worst way. I've learned so much during these nine years. Been blessed by a large family who is very active physically as well as nutritionally. I have a personal trainer/ nutritionist in my family as well as a brother going through chiropractic school who is always calling and giving me tips or advice. These calls from family have helped motivate me through these nine years. As much as you want to just throw your hands up and give up...you cant....because you have to eat to live....and therefore, digestive issues. It's not like smoking where you can just stop smoking. haha. You have to eat. Anywho
I've tried so many things, organic, over the counter, prescribed, etc. I've not yet had success or been freed of reliance. Currently I am taking a magnesium/calcium supplement called "natural vitality". It was a God send by a woman I very randomly bumped into in my hometown. It seems that i have to overdose the recommended amount in order to have somewhat of a BM. The longest ive gone without a BM is 21 days, and normally i might have one in 5,6 -12 days...if im lucky i suppose. As a result of hanging on to waste, I develop cystic Acne all around my chin and neck area. I strongly believe it's a result of toxic buildup from the waste I haven't let go of. Boy can it be frustrating :)
I also was given water kefir by my sister, which i'm beginning to take daily. I really enjoy this weird gummy probiotic and look forward to that daily .
I recently got done with a 5 days fast and today is my first day of breaking it. I intended to go longer and just fix my colon once and for all but some motherly advice told me otherwise :) As much as my mom loves me, she hates seeing me fast. She suggested i eat a cup of corn and a beer and see what happens :) hahaha, it made me laugh pretty hard and who knows, would probably cure us all ;) Needless to say I hate beer (sorry beer lovers :) and will do small servings of steamed vegetables and a small salad with water water water and hot tea. Not very exciting but fasting does something to your tastebuds. I'm ready. Just taking it day by day. ALso taking my kefir and the recommended dose of my magnesium. The thing i absolutely do not want to do is be dependent on ANYTHING. I've gone far too long taking this or taking that. And i think it's only worsened the problem. It's easy to find relief through a pill, but lordy lordy i am so ready to find that definition of normal. If anyone out there would like to chit chat or perhaps has experienced something like my story, please reply or message me. I'm an open book. Having a tummy woe day in and out is a joy sucker. I hear you. Bu day by day in the little decisions we make, I trust that we can retake our health :) Miracles do happen!! Until then, laters :)
