I'm sorry that I did not make that clear. I am referring to being saved from an eternity without God. I am referring to being saved from what the Bible refers to as the second death.

In regards to your statement, "it takes faith and works." I think many who have faith and are performing works will find that when they stand before God they will be turned away. Jesus will say to them "Depart from me for I never knew you." The Bible is quite clear on that. They will tell Jesus of all the wonderful works that they did in His name, but still they will hear Jesus say "depart from me".

I don't think you have the correct answer here Trapper, but thanks for trying. After you have had time to think about it, you may be able to come up with something better and with accuracy.
