Sorry to hear you feel so bad. Bad news. I hope you recover soon. Sooner or later you will, for sure.

Hmmm... it sounds like, at least, liver detox problems. Not only bromide, looks like. Few things you can try besides what gina said:

1.- If you live on the states, maybe you can find an Iodine knowledgeable doctor near you. Dr's Flechas, Rind, Brownstein, Derry, etc.

2.- Thyroid blood panels (TSH, FT4, FT3, AntiTPO, AntiTgb, Selenium). Plus liver panel if you haven't. Let's see what's going on there! It can't harm. It's better if you do it in an independent lab, not through your GP, otherwise he might scare/missguide you depending on the results.

3.- Buy a potent liver detoxer, for instance, Now Foods "Liver Detoxifier and Regenerator" and take it ASAP!!! This won't harm you and you can benefit much about it.

4.- Vitamin C Flush (many many grams to bowel tolerance)

5.- Salt water flushes (to push bromide out)

6.- A series of Liver Flushes (ala Andreas Moritz style for instance)

7.- Ask a doctor to do you a Glutathione IV shot and see if that helps.

8.- Gina recommended higher dosages. If you're following the "more iodine" route, I can suggest you to add SSKI (half a gram for instance). It can lessen very much the detox.

Please don't just jump and do any of these things straight away. Read at least a bit about them. I am not a doctor, I'm just advising you with my limited experience. Read and be careful. It appears you're having a really bad time. If you can find a thyroid/iodine knowledgeable ND, that might help. That also gives emotional support in tough times like that.

I know people on this board doesn't like MD's or ND's very much but I'm sure lots of people benefit from them (the good ones).
